The company is now focused on maintaining its U.S. customer base while actively seeking new markets to recover the lost business. 

 

After a shutdown and a brief halt due to U.S. tariffs, the Woodland Pulp mill in Maine has reopened and is once again accepting wood shipments from New Brunswick (One of Maine’s largest mills reopens to New Brunswick wood | Telegraph-Journal). The mill has resumed purchasing hardwood, but future buying will depend on the economic viability of sourcing Canadian wood while the tariffs remain in place.

  

ICYMI, last week a Fredericton city bus flipped on its side during a freezing rain storm, sending seven people to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The city is investigating the crash and stated that despite the weather, no operators or dispatchers had reported unsafe conditions prior to the incident.

  

Creative Connections, a Saint John non-profit program run by L'Arche, provides a studio and gallery space for 16 talented artists with intellectual disabilities to create art together (N.B. non-profit highlights talents of artists with intellectual disabilities).
