Note from Firefighters about a structure fire in the Sunny Brae area of Moncton early this morning.

They say crews from Botsford, Caledonia, and Brandon Street Fire Hall responded to a structure fire on Braemar Drive and took care of it. Now investigators are on scene. No injuries reported.

Codiac Transpo is launching an eight-year growth plan to expand bus service across Moncton, Dieppe, and Riverview in response to ridership doubling since 2022. NB and Ontario Premiers announce plan for increased use of Port of Saint John (NB) for Ontario exports. It's hoped this will highlight NB ports as key trade corridor asset. (Ontario to export more through New Brunswick port | Telegraph-Journal).

 

Following a court ruling that found the 2022 dissolution of regional health authority boards failed to consider Charter rights, the NB gov will introduce legislation to add elected members back to the boards. The goal is for this to happen in time for the 2030 election cycle (Government to introduce legislation to add elected members to regional health authority boards). 

 
More than 60 New Brunswick arenas began the journey to win the Kraft Hockeyville contest, competing for a $250,000 grand prize for rink upgrades and the opportunity to host an NHL pre-season game (NB arenas compete for $250K Kraft Hockeyville prize | Telegraph-Journal). Nominations close on March 1, with the winner scheduled to be announced on April 4.
