- Anglo East schools closed

- Franc South schools closed except in Fredericton

- Anglo South schools closed

- Anglo North: Bonar Law Memorial School, Rexton Elementary School, Harcourt School, & Eleanor W. Graham schools closed. *Other Anglo N schools have delayed opening by 2 hours.

- Chignecto Central NS: schools closed/ office and worksites closed too.


Post Secondary:

UNB Moncton (Faculty of Nursing & Health Sciences) Delayed opening until 11am

Eastern College, Moncton Campus Delayed opening until 10am

CCNB Dieppe Campus (All sites) will be closed for the morning. A decision on whether or not to reopen will be communicated no later than 10:30a. Activities at the Dieppe Campus (All sites) are therefore cancelled for the morning. Classes scheduled at the Dieppe Campus (All sites) switch remotely for the day. However, teachers will contact students if training resumes in-person if the campus reopens in the afternoon.

Crandall University's Moncton campus will delay opening until 10:00am Tuesday, January 2026. Classes scheduled to begin before 10:00am will move to online delivery as determined by the instructor. Food services will remain open for on-campus students. Please see your Crandall email for complete details.

McKenzie College campus will open at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 27. Today’s OPEN HOUSE has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Collège MEDES College will be closed today, January 27, due to difficult driving conditions.

NSCC Cumberland Campus/ Amherst Learning Centre Closed

All three Oulton College campuses will delay opening until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 27 for staff and students.��In-person classes and labs will be delayed until 10:00AM.

The New Brunswick College of Physicians and Surgeons has received 126 applications from Quebec doctors since October 1, a surge attributed in part to an ongoing labor dispute in that province (Dozens of Quebec doctors submit applications to New Brunswick). This influx is providing a recruitment boost for health networks like Vitalité, which has already extended seven job offers to physicians from Quebec.
  

An orthopedic team at Dartmouth General Hospital has become one of the first in Canada to complete seven hip replacement surgeries in a single day (N.S. doctor completes 7 hip replacements in one day). Hip Hip Hurray to reducing surgical wait times!!

To help offset rising grocery costs, Prime Minister Mark Carney has unveiled the "Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit," which will boost the GST credit for eligible Canadians.
