icymi, City closes Centennial Park Pond, previously closed Irishtown Nature Park reservoir, because: blue green algae.
TL;DR, blue green algae (cyanobacteria) can be harmful to people and pets. Sometimes you can see it, sometimes you can't. Do not kayak/canoe/etc until the city gives the all clear and do not let your dog near the water to drink/swim/other.

WestJet and the union representing flight attendants have reached a tentative agreement, ending a strike that began when flight attendants walked off the job on Sunday. Hundreds of flights were cancelled. A couple things we don't know: the details of the tentative deal, and when flights will be back to normal (it could take days).

If you bought beef sometime since 2015, you might want to check this out.
Some beef suppliers have offered settlements after some allegations. Basically, it's alleged that some meat companies secretly agreed to make the price of beef too high (paraphrase, not a lawyer.) If the settlement gets court approval (the judge has to decide if it's a fair deal), and you are eligible, there might be some cash in your future. Not yet though.
