NB has launched the Moncton Addictions and Mental Health Court Program, an alternative justice path for people under 18 whose criminal behavior is linked to addiction or mental illness. *Note: this is not for very serious crimes, and certain conditions apply. New Brunswick farmers had a rally on Tuesday at the NB legislature to protest the government's decision to privatize large-animal veterinary services, warning of risks to animal care and food safety (N.B. farmers remain angry over cuts to vet services).  
 
Following a review of NB Power, New Brunswick's Energy Minister has suggested a second nuclear plant at Point Lepreau could be a "potentially a very good asset" for the province (N.B. energy minister says second nuclear plant could be 'a very good asset').  
 
New Brunswick is offering a spring COVID-19 booster shot to high-risk individuals, including seniors and the immunocompromised, with the campaign running from April 7 to June 26. NASA's Artemis II mission is set to launch four astronauts on a 10-day test flight around the moon, marking the first crewed lunar mission in over 50 years. The flight is a critical step in the $93 billion Artemis program, which aims for a new lunar landing by 2028. (NASA set for first crewed moon return in over half a century | Reuters). Launch is scheduled for April 1st, but could happen any day after until April 6th, depending on weather conditions in Florida.

Calgary-born astronaut Jenni Gibbons will serve as the backup and primary voice link from Earth for the Artemis II mission, coaching the crew during their 10-day trip around the moon.
