Another person has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Melissa Price, whose remains were discovered in a Moncton garbage bin last month. This follows the charging of two men in connection with the case, one for first-degree murder and another for being an accessory after the fact (Second person charged with murder of woman found dead in bin | Telegraph-Journal).

Moncton's Capitol Theatre held a ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of a 1926 fire that destroyed the building. Firefighter Alexander “Sandy” Lindsay lost his life in the fire. To honor his sacrifice, the theatre unveiled a dedicated seat with a brass plaque in his memory. (Moncton’s Capitol Theatre remembers historic fatal fire a century later).

The New Brunswick government has announced a new long-term senior care plan, backed by $993 million, which will create 624 new long-term care beds and replace six nursing homes across the province (New Brunswick building 624 long-term care beds as part of new senior care plan). The investment also includes funding to improve home care affordability, expand the "Nursing Home Without Walls" program, and increase wages for personal support workers. 
 

Prime Minister Mark Carney was in Halifax to announce billions of dollars in new defence investments aimed at improving infrastructure and support in the Maritimes (Prime Minister Carney announces major defence investments coming to the Maritimes | Watch News Videos Online). 

 

Several milk products from the Farmers, Natrel, and QuΓ©bon brands are being recalled across Canada due to the possible presence of glass pieces (Multiple milk brands in Canada recalled over risk of ‘pieces of glass’ | Globalnews.ca). The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is investigating, and consumers are advised to either throw out the affected products or return them to the point of purchase.

 

New Brunswick is offering a spring COVID-19 booster shot to high-risk individuals, including seniors and the immunocompromised, with the campaign running from April 7 to June 26. The NB Youth Orchestra's performance of "The Hockey Sweater" happens at Tidal Church in Moncton on March 28th.
