A house in Moncton's north end was heavily damaged by a fire on Thursday afternoon, but the two occupants inside were able to escape safely. The Moncton Fire Department extinguished the blaze and is now investigating (Residents evacuated as house damaged by fire: MFD | Telegraph-Journal).

The City of Moncton is hosting a welcome home party for Olympic speed skater Courtney Sarault on Saturday, March 21, at the Avenir Centre. The New Brunswick government is transitioning its provincial veterinary field and lab services to the private sector over the next three years to provide more responsive support to the agricultural community.
