Women's death being investigated as a homicide: RCMP's investigation continues into the death of a woman who was found in a garbage bin on High Street in Moncton on Sunday afternoon (RCMP investigating death of woman found in garbage bin | Telegraph-Journal). icymi, Mount Allison University scientists have discovered rare four-toed salamanders in marshy locations near residential areas in Riverview (Rare four-toed salamanders found in Riverview | Telegraph-Journal). The article says that the only other place in the province where these salamanders have been found is a small section of Fundy National Park.

NB Power pleads guilty to workplace charge.
Two NB Power workers fell from a pole near Hillsborough in January 2023. Colin Hume of Ritchie, NB, lost his life. The other worker sustained injuries. (NB Power pleads guilty to charge after line worker died in fall | Telegraph-Journal). The company is now scheduled for sentencing next month.
 
 
NB's projected deficit is around $1.33 billion, double initial projection. Why? Some of the reasons the Gov gives: tax revenues are down/ a rise in public service costs after population growth/ Health Care Costs Increased/ See (N.B. deficit soars to a historic $1.33 billion).
