icymi, Mount Allison University scientists have discovered rare four-toed salamanders in marshy locations near residential areas in Riverview (Rare four-toed salamanders found in Riverview | Telegraph-Journal). The article says that the only other place in the province where these salamanders have been found is a small section of Fundy National Park.
Two NB Power workers fell from a pole near Hillsborough in January 2023. Colin Hume of Ritchie, NB, lost his life. The other worker sustained injuries. (NB Power pleads guilty to charge after line worker died in fall | Telegraph-Journal). The company is now scheduled for sentencing next month.
