Traffic Note: icymi, There's a BRAND NEW intersection in Moncton on Mountain Road Next to Northwest Center. There are traffic lights installed but they're just flashing right now. The intersection is actually Mountain Rd and and new extension to Worthington Ave. 
Scotty note: When I drove by last night there was still a section of Mountain Rd that was down to one lane. I imagine that gets opened up soon??  

 

Riverview High raising money for life skills classroom space 
Riverview High School is fundraising to create a new, accessible life skills classroom to support a record number of students with individualized learning plans. Former Crandall prof ordered to provide documents
A judge has ordered a former Crandall University prof to provide Crandall with docs related to his departure from a previous position at Regent College. This is part of a wrongful dismissal lawsuit the prof has filed against Crandall after being fired last year (https://tj.news/moncton-miramichi/judge-orders-fired-prof-to-provide-documents-about-past-employment). 

Moncton Fire Department warns of increase in e-bike and scooter fires

Thieves smashed their way into the Needs convenience store in Port Elgin, N.B., during an overnight break-in, leaving an ATM tipped over on the floor in an apparent theft attempt. The brazen incident has left residents of P.E. frustrated. Source says it's not yet known if anything was stolen or if a suspect has been identified.

Ukraine talks ‘a step forward’ but road to peace is long, Europe warns 
Recent talks between the U.S. and Ukraine have resulted in a refined peace framework, modifying an earlier U.S. proposal that was seen as favouring Russia.
