The World Record for heaviest potato is held by a guy named Pete from the UK. Pete's potato weighed more than 10 pounds (4.98 kg). Like, imagine a ten pound bag of potatoes you'd buy at the grocery store ... now imagine that ten pound bag contained ONE POTATO?! WTG, Pete!
*Note the record was almost beaten ... a few years ago there was a couple in New Zealand who dug up what they believed to be a new world record-sized giant potato. I mean, it sure looked like a potato. It weighed more than 17 pounds. The fellow decided to taste it (God bless his enthusiasm) and it tasted like a potato. After clinical analysis, it turned out that the giant mystery thing that was dug up/ tasted was some kind of gourd and not an actual potato.
