It's been confirmed by the Northern Tornadoes Project that there was a tornado on Friday near Petitcodiac. This was around Pollett River on Friday evening.

Not sure how much this got covered on Friday but icymi, RCMP arrested a couple people on Thursday after that police operation on Norwood Avenue in Moncton. Traffic was being diverted for awhile during that operation. It seems like this was about locating someone who was wanted by police.

This doesn't happen often but the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization activated a Level 1 emergency response to Moncton’s increase in overdose cases. A Level 1 response is usually something you hear about with floods or forest fires. This Level 1 response means the EMO will help with organizing resources.
