There's a GoFundMe for Moncton musician John McLaren, who is in the hospital with severe injuries after being attacked on Main Street. The funds will help his family with living and medical expenses during what is expected to be a lengthy recovery. Moncton city council debating a proposal to turn the old Moncton High School sports field into a parking lot and construction staging area for the new Atlantic Science Enterprise Centre. The families of the RCMP officers killed in Moncton in 2014 have asked the city to ensure the Honour Garden memorial on Moncton's riverfront remains a peaceful and respected space. City officials have responded that there are no plans to move the memorial and they are working with the families to create a protective buffer zone within a new plan for downtown development.
