Does the Full Moon make people wacky?
Some people who work in fields like health care and policing insist that the full moon means a tough night on the job.
Studies have shown a more complicated situation than just 'full moon make me bonkers'.
The case for lunacy:
- a long time ago, there was this theory that since the full moon affected the tide, then maybe it also impacted the water in our bodies, making our mindbrains a bit erratic. The jury is back on this theory and the jury says nope.
- there's a theory that because the full moon can mess up sleep patterns, sleep deprivation might be the reason for full moon mood swings and unusual behavior. *Some studies seem to indicate that there really is a small effect on sleep during the full moon.

The case against Lunar Effect:
- most of the research seems to show that there is no correlation between moon phase and whacked out human behavior. SOME research says the opposite, but it usually doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
QUICK NOTES:
* There is that thing where if you believe something, you might influence your own self. So, in a sense, if you believe in Full Moon Fever, it still has an influence on your life whether the science adds up or not..
* Werewolves throw off the curve, so let's not get into it.
