TL;DR Eric Church got fired by the guys in Rascal Flatts. He was a support act on their tour and he played sets that were loud and too long for their liking. Taylor Swift replaced Eric on the tour and when she called to make sure there was no 'Bad Blood', he assured her they were good, encouraged her, and joked that she would owe him her first Gold Record. LOL right?! Well, a deal is a deal and Taylor Swift gave Eric Church her first gold record, which is now in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
