We are paying a higher gas carbon adjuster charge now than we were before the Liberals came to power. Back then, the Provincial Liberals argued that the carbon adjuster charge on gas was too much - and an election promise was made to cut that charge. Now though, the charge is like double what it used to be. *the charge does fluctuate some, so don't quote me on exact numbers*
Other provinces have a carbon adjuster cost attached to their gas prices like we do, except not as high because they put a cap on how high it can go. Now there's hope that NB will get a cap going as well.

Yesterday afternoon the Province of Nova Scotia put a ban in place because it's been so dry.
Hiking, camping, fishing and using ATVs in the woods is banned because of concern that activity might lead to forest fires.
You can still camp in campgrounds.
If you get caught breaking the rules you can be fined $25,000.

Right now almost 90 per cent of Canadian lumber exports goes to the United States, and all the tariff back-and-forth with the USA has been bad for the industry. |
Carney announced money (loans and grants) for companies that need cash to navigate the trade war. There are also plans to make the lumber industry less dependent on the USA moving forward.
