Smoke note: Heading into the weekend there was a statement from Environment Canada about air quality in NB being impacted by smoke from forest fires in Western Canada. There was a two-vehicle crash in Dixon Point, Kent County on Friday.
A 60-Year-Old lady died. According to the RCMP, the woman's motorcycle crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming car. The driver of the car was taken to hospital with injuries reported as not life-threatening. Investigation continues.

On Friday some NB politicians gathered outside a building on West Main Street in Moncton to note the latest affordable housing project being completed. The building will add 16 public housing units for the city (right now there are more than 3000 people on the NB waiting list for affordable housing.)
The John Howard Society of Southeastern New Brunswick will be providing support services to the folks living in the new building.

icymi, Confederation Bridge Toll Reduction kicked in on Friday. It used to cost ~ 50 bucks for cars to cross the bridge from PEI. Now it's 20 bucks.

Luc Bourgeois, a 34-year-old kayaker, was found deceased near Shediac Island after being reported missing for a week. That story came out on Friday.

The Blessing of the Fleet happened this past weekend at Aboiteau Wharf in Cap-Acadie. The lobster industry is worth $1 billion dollars and the season for those fishers starts on Aug 11th.
