More news released about the crash on the Brenda Robertson Bridge between Moncton and Riverview. This happened Wednesday night. The bridge was closed all night. Firefighters were on-scene for several hours.
Four people lost their lives in a collision between a car and a tow truck. The deceased were traveling in the car. The driver of the tow truck was not injured.
Authorities are asking for anyone with info or dashcam footage to reach out to them.

Note from the Province about increased wildfire risk: we are being urged to use extreme caution and be mindful of the heightened risk of forest fires across NB. The province is currently under a burn ban.
Big thanks to our friend Darcey at the radio station in Miramichi (https://rewind959.ca/2020/02/28/mornings/) who sent us an update on the wildfire that began Wednesday in Miramichi. It is still listed as out of control but crews are working hard to get it under control.
Crews continued yesterday to fight a wildfire near Oldfield Road and Route 8, north of the City of Miramichi.
The fire began Wednesday afternoon.
The province has the fire listed a as 22.5 hectares in size.
It is still considered out of control, although officials say crews are making good progress.
More than 30 firefighters, eight air tankers and three bulldozers helped fight the flames.
Water bombs were seen taking off and landing yesterday from the Miramichi Airport and as well as gathering water from the Miramichi River.
Officials say the fire did burn through a utility pole, but there was no damage to other infrastructure, although a fire engine was placed at a residence for a short period of time until it was deemed there was no threat to the property.

The Premiere spoke
about the Federal/ Provincial program that was announced three or four
years ago and is scheduled to start in the Spring of 2026. Premiere
Holt clarified the ten dollars-a-day is an average cost for the
childcare program (so the price you pay might vary a little bit.) Right
now the average is just under 13 bucks.

Codiac RCMP asking for your help locating Hope Mclaughlin who was last seen on July 20, 2025 at a residence on Myers Street in Moncton.
Hope Mclaughlin is 16 years old, five foot two, 123 pounds, has brown eyes and long brown hair. Last seen wearing a grey dress, grey crocs, and a pink sweater.
