Followup to the fire that happened last Thursday on Lester Street in Moncton...

The tick population in our region is high this year. A story from the CBC quotes an expert who says it's because we had a couple mild Winters in a row. icymi, tick bites can lead to Lyme disease and other diseases.
Tick Tips:
- before hiking/ biking/ outdoorsy things use bug spray that says it works on ticks.
- wear long pants where possible
- check for ticks frequently while doing outside activities.

Just in time for Canada Day, U.S. President Trump is circling back to talking points about tariffs and how Canada should be the 51st state, and he put a stop to trade negotiations. Meanwhile in Canada, late last night the federal government announced it is not moving forward with a digital services tax, which was set to kick in today. They stopped the tax "in anticipation of a mutually beneficial comprehensive trade arrangement with the United States."
There is hope that a deal will be hammered out by July 21st.
icymi, that digital services tax was aimed at U.S. companies who sell products or services to Canadians don't pay Canadian taxes. That would've meant billions of dollars in retroactive payments for these companies. #bargainingchip?
