Blake Shelton's new album is called "For Recreational Use Only" and it isn't released on a major label. Blake is playing a different game now with his music. There's a really interesting interview I read... It talks about how Blake Shelton's new record debuted at number 46 and his last one debuted way better.
Instead of being a slam article, it turns into this zen thing about how Blake is OK with not hitting number one...
It talks about how he quit doing The Voice TV Show after 23 seasons. He was getting burnt out.
Now he's gotten some musical enjoyment back... like he's doing it for the fun and not to prove something to the industry.
Here's a good quote from Blake: "I used to be almost afraid of my success because I was afraid of losing it somehow. Maybe the worry kept me working hard and focused, but now it's just fun for me."
He likes the freedom of not being on a major label and putting out an album his own way.
And remember, he's still rich... also, he's a producer on that show this Fall where people compete to be the opening act for Keith Urban. Scroll Down for more on that.
