icymi, There is a cookbook called How To Eat your Christmas Tree. It's another option, on top of dropping off your Christmas tree for mulching, leaving it at the curb on your garbage day, or making it a Winter home for your backyard birds.

* Trees must not be frozen in the snow bank and be free of tinsel and ornaments

Town of Riverview Christmas Tree Plan:
-- Tree pickup is on your usual trash pickup day during the week of Jan 10th, 2022.
* Please ensure that your tree is bare (our theory is that they have to say this because one time somebody threw out a completely decorated tree.)
* pickup is done by a separate truck and might happen later than regular trash.

Until the end of January you also can drop off your tree at Mapleton Park parking lot (Gorge Road entrance), Crossman / Kay Arena parking lot, Ball Field off Crowley Farm Rd, Former Dud James Arena parking lot, and Moncton Coliseum parking lot
