Yesterday a number of politicians were in town for Acadian Day- the big show in Dieppe had a huge crowd! There was some incredible face paint action. Today if you're having trouble getting the paint off your face, try this LINK.

Road Closure Downtown Moncton:
The World Acadian Congress means stuff happening downtown! Also that means street closures downtown near Riverfront Park…
1) Until Sunday Aug 18 at 2:00p the Eastbound lane of Assomption is closed between Lutz and Downing. Note: Intersections are open and travelling south on Westmorland you'll still be able to turn right onto Assomption and go West.
2) Fri Aug 16 and Sat Aug 17 from 2:45p until 2:00a the Westbound lane of Assomption will also be closed between Main and Westmorland.(HERE for more details on the World Acadian Congress).

There is a huge Softball Canada Slopitch Nationals at Hal Betts Sportsplex wrapping up this weekend… the best slow pitch players in Canada (including a few guys who are in the Toronto Blue Jays farm system) will be hitting home runs into the river. More info (https://softball.ca/slopitch)

The Food Bank in Salisbury has their yard sale this weekend-
“Salisbury Helping Hands is still looking for donations for their Annual Yard Sale this Saturday from 9:00am til 2:00pm at 64 Douglas Street. Donations can be dropped off at the Food Bank today from 10a-4p or at Armstrong High School from 8:00a-2:00p for the remainder of the week.”

New and experienced players- boys and girls- between age 5 and 17 are welcome!
