Cartoon kerfuffle...
Yesterday there was a Greg Perry cartoon in the Times and Transcript but Greg says he has told Brunswick News that "it would be best if they found someone else to draw cartoons."
(Greg is the new hire from Vancouver.) That's the latest in the big ol mess that's been going on over editorial cartoons in the paper after Michael de Adder from Halifax was let go and people started freakin' out on social media.
You can check out the details on our What's Trending Page, then choose sides and go crazy on your own social media if you want...

Atlantic Nationals Car Show is on... today they start closing streets...
from 1p today until early Saturday Main St closed between Mechanic and Downing... there'll be more street closures tomorrow when the cars set up on Main Street for the free show. Get the whole schedule on the Scotty and Tony Blog. Here's the City's street closure map...

Jones Lake Fish Story...
The Department of Environment says all those sucker fish that died in Jones Lake last month prolly didn't survive the water warming up combined with too much nitrogen and phosphorus.
Just a reminder as the weather heats up this Summer: if the water turns green keep your pets away. The same conditions that killed the fish can lead to blue green algae.

Salvation Army Mountain Rd Arson...
RCMP are looking for whoever put lit fireworks in the donation slot at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Mountain Rd- that's arson! Tony had the story on the other day about the fire that started because of it- there was mostly water damage at the store and they were able to clean up and open on time. Crimestoppers: 1-800-222-8477 or https://www.crimenb.ca/tips/

Facebook is back online- thank goodness!
Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram were all messed up for some people yesterday... if you couldn't upload or send photos that's what was going on... Facebook says it's something they did during routine maintenance... (so, it wasn't Russian hackers)
