Happy Canada Day!


Events on Sunday:


  • 10:30 a.m — Canada Day “In Motion” Bike Ride presented by the City’s Parks and Leisure Department (Riverfront Park – meet at Millenium Garden behind Moncton Press Club)

  • 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. — Kids’ PlayZone featuring bouncy games, facepainting, airbrush tattoos, and more (Riverfront Park)

  • 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. — Canada-themed Archaeological Dig for kids presented by the Moncton Museum (Riverfront Park) Pre-registration required: 857-0590.

  • 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. — Vendors offering a variety of food products (Riverfront Park)

  • 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. — Vendors offering a variety of food products (City Hall Plaza)

  • 5 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. — Canada Day Concert on the Whoa Canada! Main Stage (Main Street)

  • 10 p.m. — Canada Day Fireworks (Riverfront Park)



Closed Streets:


  • Main St from Mechanic to Downing leaving Main/Mechanic and Main/Sommet open, from Saturday, June 30 at 11 p.m. until 3 a.m. on Monday, July 2 to allow delivery of the stage.

  • Main St closure from Mechanic up to Sommet leaving Main/Sommet open, and close Botsford St from Main to Queen leaving Botsford/Queen open, from Sunday, July 1 at 7 a.m. until 3 a.m. on Monday, July 2 for event set-up.

  • Main St from Mechanic up to Alma leaving Main/Mechanic and Main/Alma open from Sunday, July 1 at 4 p.m. until 3 a.m. on Monday, July 2 for the safety of event-goers during the concert.


Rain Location: In the event of heavy rain, the Canada Day celebrations (except fireworks) will take place at the Moncton Coliseum Agrena Complex.
