Top Slo-Pitch Softball players in Canada are in Moncton this week hitting home runs into the Petitcodiac

There is a huge Softball Canada Slo-Pitch Nationals happening at Hal Betts Sportsplex all week… the best Slo-Pitch players in Canada (including a few guys who are in the Toronto Blue Jays farm system) will be hitting home runs into the river. More info (https://softball.ca/slopitch)
Note: kids from Moncton Fastpitch Association will be volunteering and fundraising at the event- thanks for supporting local kids!

Here are some photos from the opening ceremonies... Moncton Councillor Paul Pellerin gave a welcome speech while wearing the Giant Foam Cowboy Hat… also MP Ginette Petitpas Taylor brought greetings from the federal government while wearing the Giant Foam Cowboy Hat©… and then representing the Province, MLA Cathy Rogers posed for a photo in (you guessed it) the Giant Foam Cowboy Hat… So we have reached all levels of government.
The dignitaries also threw out the first pitch… Councillor Paul Pellerin's pitch was a little low, MLA Cathy Rogers' throw was a bit outside, and MP Ginette Petitpas Taylor missed high with her pitch...
