SANTA CLAUS PULLS MUSCLE, HURTS KNEE...
The North Pole Inquisitor is reporting that Santa Claus sustained an injury while exercising in his private gym last night. They're supposed to have more details this morning... it's some sort of leg or foot injury... Santa was treated on-site by his personal physician who ordered bed rest for Claus. We'll find out more details this morning- it's not known how or if this will affect Christmas. More news as it becomes available.
Santa's personal physician says the big guy is in terrific shape for a man his age and the knee injury Santa sustained last night while working out was just a freak accident. The North Pole Inquisitor newspaper is reporting that Santa's personal physician Dr. Marcus Welby ordered bed rest after Santa accidentally pulled the full stop cord while running on his treadmill, causing him to injure his knee.
The doctor refused to comment on whether or not Santa will be able to make the rounds on Christmas Eve. A press conference is scheduled for late this morning.
The North Pole Inquisitor newspaper is quoting insiders as saying Santa's knee injury may postpone Christmas. Elves who asked not to be named say that after Santa injured his knee on the treadmill last night, he needed help walking and wasn't able to complete his nightly reindeer and toy factory inspections. We'll find out more after the press conference, coming up shortly at the North Pole.
Our switchboard has been flooded with calls from concerned children after the news broke that Santa Claus hurt his knee in a treadmill accident last night. There was speculation that an announcement would come today from the North Pole about a possible postponement of Christmas. North Pole insiders have said that Santa has a bad sprain (perhaps even ligament damage) that will require weeks of recuperation, but Santa's personal physician hasn't made any sort of claims like that. We'll know more soon, a press conference is scheduled for 8:30. The important thing is not to panic.
Good news from the North Pole! Earlier today rumours surfaced that Santa suffered torn ligaments after twisting a knee during a workout. Santa appeared at a press conference minutes ago to say that he's fine, that doctors had cleared him to fly, and Christmas will not be cancelled!! Claus joked with reporters and even did a short karate demonstration to prove that everything is fine. Santa is scheduled to take off in aprrox 18 hours and visit over 330 million kids this year.
